Eucalyptus Variety Guide: Descriptions for Florists and Event Planners
Eucalyptus has been an important crop on CalMex Floral’s San Diego farms for decades. With a climate similar to its native Australia, our region provides ideal growing conditions, allowing us to produce high-quality eucalyptus in a range of varieties valued by florists for their distinctive foliage, fragrance, and versatility.
We’ve worked to cultivate eucalyptus varities that perform well in both everyday floral work and large event designs. With so many species and trade names in circulation, it can be difficult to understand the differences between varieties or when each is available throughout the season.
Our Eucalyptus catalog is designed to make that process easier for florists and event planners. With clear photos and concise notes, it highlights the key characteristics of each variety - from leaf shape and color to texture, scale, and other distinguishing details - helping you choose the right foliage for your designs.

Looking for more information about a specific variety? Full descriptions are linked below, offering additional details on each selection and how it’s most commonly used in floral work. While many eucalyptus types exist in the broader floral trade, this catalog focuses on the varieties we grow in our fields and their seasonal availability.
